Dr. Philipp Rösler became a new member of our Board of Directors on August 7th, 2020. He will be strengthening Pure Holding’s leading position in the cannabis industry and supporting the next phase of market expansion.

Dr. Philipp Rösler looks back on an impressive career: He studied medicine at the Medical University of Hanover and simultaneously completed four semesters in philosophy and history at the Gottfried Wilhelm Leibniz University of Hanover. After the state examination, he began a five-year specialist training as an ophthalmologist. With his work on arrhythmias after heart surgery, he received his doctorate in 2002. Afterwards he devoted himself increasingly to his political career with the FDP. He held the office of Federal Minister of Health and Federal Minister of Economics until he was elected Vice Chancellor in May 2011.
In addition to his political engagement in Germany, Dr. Rösler was Managing Director and Member of the Board of Directors of the “World Economic Forum” and Director of the Hainan Cihang Charity Foundation, the non-profit foundation of the HNA in New York.
